Worked on the Museum's work tractor yesterday

The State Ag Museum director (blue stocking hat) and her assistant came out to my shop yesterday and I showed them how to change oil and filter, replace fuel filters, and put new lift pump on. They really liked the big heater going in the shop.
They did the work and I just stood and told them how to do something if they had questions.
Great to see them interested in doing the maintenance on the tractor.
Had to take a photo of the assistant with an oil smudge on her face.

Sharing knowledge and developing skills, an opportunity for you and them. You are now an educator. gobble

I tried to get my Daughter to learn how to check the oil in her car and I could not get her interested at all. Glad to see these gals taking an interest.

Richard my hat is off to you, any man that can get 2 beautiful women to come out and service his tractor has my respect and admiration  HOW did you manage that??

The tractor belongs to the museum. I just offered to bring it to my shop and let them work on it. As soon as everything is right, I will haul it to the museum.
I may build a 3 point carryall so they can use it to haul things around.

I have 3 daughters.

If they wanted their license i've made them all change the oil at least once and help rotate the tires once using the factory jack and wrench (same idea as changing a flat but more productive).

The oldest is out of school and returned home to live and has her own car. Being an AMSOIL dealer i get oil for her and make her change it (mostly. i usually do the filter as its a pain to get off) she doesn't seem to mind as she saves some $.

I doubt if the other 2 will ever change their own oil but at least they know how to and how/where to check it (crucial for their old cars) and where to put it in. Hopefully they won't need to change a tire either but at least they know how.

And where were those girls when I was that age? LOL

I've known a few, very few, that didn't mind getting greasy.

But they sure didn't look like those two!

Not even dirty overalls could make them unattractive. I am a member of one museum and support when I can, but it is too far away to be able to volunteer like I would like to.

I must be getting old I saw the tractor first. Good choice I have been told the most wanted tractor world wide is the Massey Ferguson 135 and 165
