Any Experience with BKT or MITAS Tires?

I have a 2006 Kubota L4330 tractor with Titan brand tires. The sidewalls of the rear tires are cracking on both sides of the tires. The tractor only has 376 hours on it and has always been stored inside. Titan Tire company will not do anything about it. My experience with TITAN has been very bad not only with this tractor but others. Has anyone had experience with the BKT or MITAS Tires? I can't afford to go to Firestone tires.

1st. I don't know how bad your cracks are but I wouldn't worry to much about them. I got some Goodyears on my old Case that my Uncle put on in the 1950s. They started cracking about 10 years after he put them on and there are still cracked. No better, no worse. I would expect they will last another 60 years.
2nd. I have BKT on my loader tractor. Been on there maybe 6 yrs. Very good tires. I would recommend them to anyone.

I am just interested 12 years old , how long do you think Titan or any Manufacture should stand behind a tire? If they warranted ever tire that they have made in the last 12 years would that be acceptable? There has to be a cost vs return somewhere . I have sold a lot of Kubotas in the last 30 years and since Kubota went to Titan can honestly say no a lot of tire problems, actually used to have more HARD RIDE complaints out of Firestone. As a owner what would you think would be a fair and equable solution for you 12 year old tires?

Tubeless or tube type?? Do they still hold air?? On my W Speed patrol I had a set of tire that I was told needed to be replace over 20 years ago. I finally had to replace one last summer with one I had stored away for just that reason. I learned years ago a tire can look bad but last for many, many years and I'm one that does not fix what is not broken

I've got Mitas on my case loader tractor, tears have been good, 5 years now, fronts I took the sidewall out of one tire due to lack of air, I had a leaking rim tubes have solved the leaking issue, but the one front sidewall was beyond repair, NOT the fault of the tire. Very happy with the Mitas tires.

I have BKT's on the front end of my loader tractor (4wd) inn place of the 'Awd's, and a set of BKT's on my White, annd,so far, so good. If you are having sidewall cracks, it would be my guess that your tire pressure is too low for your loading on the rear.

I had a set of titans on my 7810, were new when I bought the tractor. Setting in the shed they would all be flat when I needed it to push snow. Dealer that sold the tires wouldn't even look at them. Had another dealer look at them and would warrenty them and I bought firestones. One rear tire had 9 breaks in the sidewall and were wearing fast. Haven't even had a low tire on the firestones. I haven't heard anything bad about the Mitas or BKT tires. Any titan I have had was always junk

A lot of titans on Kubota?s. Maybe I got lucky, I have 3500 hours on the original rear titans on my 5740, and their loaded. Come to think of it, I?ve never changed the rears on any of 5 utilities we?ve had in the 30 years of having Kubota?s. I think the last tractor had titans too.

It has been several years now so do not know how things compair now. The Titan I had were very good, not so with the Firestone, thyt cracked between every lug in just a few month and Firestone would do nothing. And traction on the Firestone was terible. Had older Firestone and they were good.

The area Titan representative admits the company has had problems with their tires. I put a new set on another tractor. The tires didn't have 10 revolutions on them when they cracked.

These Titans are 12 years old and certainly have more than 10 revolutions on them. So far no cracks.

Hi I'm switching my chore tractor over to BKT's. Our local tire shop sells loads of them for the cheaper price than other major names. Here in Canada certain popular sizes sell out real quick from the importer to. I have been told they need to sit a few months before you fit them as many are still soft from manufacture when they come into the country Though.

I picked one older stock front up incase my other tire blew, then had to wait for the other to be imported into Canada. you could dig your nail in the fresh new one, but not the other. I was told the softer one would wear out quicker. I'm not in a huge hurry to fit them so can wait, I'm waiting for the very last $2 use out of the @#$%^! junk Michelin agribibs with good treads on. But the walls are falling out of, all 4 tires will then be the BKT's and I won't ever have Michelins on a tractor I own ever again. My friends got exactly the same issue with his tractor and Michelins and he knows other guys as well with issues.
Regards Robert
