Back in October, I purchased a 1950 Willys 4x4 pickup from upper Door County Wisconsin. I have been kind of setting on it until I could procure a title in my state. Title finally came through, so I have been starting to work on it. Got it unstuck and running. Brakes and steering are next. On to my question. On the doors is very faded lettering that says Lake View Farm, Burlington Wisconsin. Anybody know of this farm? Google doesn't turn up much outside of a food company called Lakeview Farms, possibly this farm is where the big company came from. Burlington is way south of where I bought the truck, the guy I bought it from said he got it from southern Wisconsin over 20 years ago. Any knowledge of this farm out there? Thanks.

They are a very boxing and neat looking truck. I know where one is here in SJ. They are also dirt simple to work on. If you really and truly love it and want to keep it. Do a total frame up restoration. Remove body and all very carefully and use epoxy paint on the frame and components. At car shows the people just drool over these old time original off road vehicles. Does it have just the straight 4 cyl. Engine? My grand father had a green station wagon one. He thought he would be smart and buy it with the 4 instead of the 6 cylinder engine. Stupid thing couldn't get out of its own way. Then the salt started to disolve the body . Have fun with it but I would treat it gently and take care of it. There are not that many if them left around.
