I've found (in the past 50 years) that when the Wife wants to chew my butt for something (anything) I just shut up and give her a good listening to. It aggravates her worse than trying to plead my case.

I tell everyone that my wife has chewed me out twice in all the years we have been married and I had it coming both times. Its the second marriage for both of us so we must have learned from the first one. She is my very best friend. I hope I go first.
