Do horses not eat hay from a rack or a ring? I have always wondered why it has to go on the ground.

They will eat it from a feeder fine. It is not necessary though. I built two feeders to have less waste. Didn't work as they pull hay out of a feeder as the sort out what they like best. I think these mini's are more picky than large horses. It might be I let them be more picky.
