John Deere 68 auger wagon

Wondering why some John Deere 68 auger wagons have levers that open a door? and some don't have lever or door. Can you shut the auger off before it's empty with out door shut? or will you slug the auger? with corn or soybeans? I have two 42 combines and thought it would be neat to have two auger wagons to match. I know a guy that has two John Deere 68 auger wagons in a shed one has a twisted hitch one in good shape what would be a fair price? anyone see any sell lately? never seen one in operation so thanks for any advise Howard

The 68 auger wagons with the doors are the ones that have box dividers. The purposes of the doors was to blend two or even three different ingredients together. You could get a 68 with a divider in the middle or even set up for three compartments. As far as prices good ones bring $750-1200. We have one we use for rye. Works good when filling a grain drill.
