I?m looking into one to put some seasonal items in that don?t need to be under lock and key. Needs to be a heavier built one and can handle mid indiana snow load. Something in the 45? by 80? size. And what?s the best way to anchor them? I have a cheesy one that is 13?x25? that I sat on two rows 4000# concrete blocks and strapped it to them. Maybe do the same with the new one. Show some pictures, sizes and where it came from if you could. Thanks.

When you get that big it's almost cheaper to go with a pole barn. They also don't need a new canvas every 10-15 years.

I do not have one, but saw one on the grounds at Albert City tractor show. They had 6x4 post driven into the ground at each hoop. The posts extended 4 foot out of the ground and they had 2x6 tongue and groove materials covering the posts on the exterior. Each hoop baseplate was secured to the top of the post. The fabric ratchet straps were secured to the posts also. Gave the hoop bldg. added height and it also allowed it to be used for livestock(horses at Albert City). I'm not sure if the ends could be closed in or not, did not notice or look, but did like the hard sided wall down low concept. Just sharing what I've seen and thought was a possibility for those type structures. gobble

WeatherPort(delta, colorado). I worked for them for 10+ years. Did a lot of R&d work. They have 125 MPH wind 'load'.They use 'hurricane'guys and duckbill anchors. They are the best in the business, there are many immatations.Yes,they are more expencive, but they last. And you don't need a 'permit' in most places because they are "portable".They are now available in up to 200Ft widths,as long as you want.BTW,I did the design work on the Olympic 'SuperStore' unit in the Salt Lake Olympics. 100 wide x 220 feet long.

Have a friend who's hoop shed has been up
for 18 yrs. He tore it getting hopper
extension to close. Came 2 hrs after he
called. Patched it. Can't hardly notice it.
They tightened it while they was there.
Don't know the brand but there is a lot of
them in that area. Looks to me like tent
material will last 18 more years.

Seems the vinyl/fabric, galvanized steel hoop type shelters are a very regional versus national distribution.
CoverAll in southern Ontario, upper/east midwest
BigTop in deep southeast
WeatherPort out west
etc.
