Saw this--This Case sign got stolen off a 2 story building at a family lumber yard that used to be a Case dealer in Manitoba. They said it hung there for 67 years until Jan, 7 between 2:30 and 4:30 am. The Mounties said someone used a boom truck to take it down. It is said one like it sold for $9900 at a sale. NICE SIGN!---Tee

big tee you notice not one case guy has made a comment? pretty tight bunch those case guys, going to be pretty hard to get a confession out of any of them, like ADC? case nutty, gonna have to put them in a lineup and pat them down

I think someone just posted on one of the
case fb pages that they got a sign like
this. I'm trying to find it. Lol.

What about Loren--I know he has a VAC modified to pluck signs off of tall buildings! Ha Ha---Tee

Kinda like stealing the Mona Lisa......pretty hard to display anywhere besides your bathroom

The Indian Motorcycle dealer sign from Rt 9W in NY was stolen in the 1980s and was never recovered . It had a dealer name on it. My guess is they never find it . Whoever stole it will keep it.

That's likely true but you never know. Someone will eventually pass away. The question then is if the new estate owners know to keep it hush or if they'll put it on eBay or something. I figure a lot of stuff resurfaces when someone not connected to the theft finds it years later.

(quoted from post at 12:41:36 02/15/18) There are probably legit versions of the same sign so how would anyone know it is hot?

If it has the dealer name on it that's kind of a giveaway. At the very least it reduces the number of signs.

Guess they could always remove it but people who do this aren't always bright.
