Draft Controll picture

Confused about draft control on MF 135. The outside lever which is the tallest and has a round knob, doesn't do anything. The only way that I can raise the plow is to push the inside lever with a square knob and shorter lever down. Doesn't make sense to me. Tractor has been glamorized. Looks to me the decalls may not be right.

The inner position lever should be in the UP position and left there. Then the outer draft lever can be used for ground engaging implements. The position lever is used for hitching, or anytime you want the three point to hold a given position. Draft lever must be left fully up during position lever use. There's a chance the decals are wrong too. Some tractors had the Pressure control option, top part of the position quadrant was for position control, lower part was for pressure control hitch use. Draft decal is correct on both though.

It want raise until you push the inside (red) lever all the way down. Location of the outside doesn't matter.

My 135 diesel inner position quadrant decal is opposite of yours, fully up/back is constant pumping, slightly forward against the constant pumping stop is UP, forward travel is position control down. With the position lever in the up location, the outer draft lever should lower the arms. If not, some thing is wrong inside.

I would say the red decal is on backwards. Reverse it and I think it will make sense to you. Red lever raises & lowers, yellow is draft control.

X2 what Tim says.. inside decal is " Upside-Down "

If you notice the writing is facing the wrong direction (away from operator) on the red decal. It should just be turned end for end. Set the draft control in the middle somwhere and forget it. Its only useful while plowing or some such ground engaging function.

Actually to properly use the 3 point the outer Draft needs to be pulled all the way back and leave it there, not set in middle. You then just use inner control to raise and lower 3 pt. Draft was made for ground engaging implements. Inner control lever for raising lowering 3 pt.

Evidently My tractor and the one I was raised on work bass ackwards from every one else's or either I don't understand. I put the draft (the short square knob outside lever) all the way down and use the inner one with the round knob to raise and lower the lift. TDF
