What does everyone have for winter chores. These are what keep my mind on spring and keep me away from just sitting and watching tv for a few hours a day.

Nice looking critters. That corn seems to be agreeing with them!

I help Mrs. shovel out 6 horse stalls every morning, and do other projects as the come up. Otherwise, just do "retired stuff".

Nice looking stock! I feed fat hogs, goats and my wood boiler all winter. My goats won't start kidding till April.

200 head of cattle to feed. Just got done plowing some snow and grinding two loads of feed.

Honestly, my only winter chores are to drive over and plow out the drives (that will be a big job come Sunday), make sure the heat is working in the buildings that have/need it, pay the winter taxes (just did that). Mostly I work my other job and think of Spring. The kids take care of anything else that comes up.

On occasion I will take a day off CPA'ing and go cut some firewood just to get some air and feel the sun.

150 sheep. 90 with 138 babies. 3 milk cows but only 2 milking. 21 pigs. I don't do very much. The children do most of it.

Got 11 head of these hay burners that I check on twice a day. Drop off a hay bale in the feeder every other day or so. Chopped oats twice a day. Should be 3 or 4 calves between now and spring.

11 feeder steers,2 ponys,a mule,2 dogs,30 chickens,12 guineas,6 peacocks,18 goats, barn cat and just butchered the last of the pigs. There's wood to cut to keep the boiler going, rebuilding a to-30 engine, got the brake valve of the 4020 and putting a cab kit in the 4840. O ya and my real job working me 7 days a week.

Nice looking group at the feeder.

I have ten steers on feed, 45 layers, 2 barn cats, although I didn't see hind nor hair of either of the cats today. I check in on everyone about 3 times although most of the time I'm out working around anyway on something. I have a wagon out front I sell corn and straw on to keep stocked up. I have about three drives other than my own to keep plowed. I sat in my chair at my command center today though and watched 9-10 inches of snow come down today so I'll be busy tomorrow.

DoubleR; looks like the dogs have the best seats in the house, at the tv and at the table. lol gobble

18 cows calves and 1 bull.
this time of year all 13 cats 3 dogs in the house 2 black dogs on the chairs old yellow dog on his pillow near the hot air register

there is not nearly as much there as it looks. I shred 6-7 lbs of hay a day for them. Problem is I do it every 2-3 days so it looks bad but they clean it up pretty good. I bought some 12-1500 lbs bales for $15 each so I let them have some of it as bedding. At the end of a year of feeding I have about 5 bales worth they waste so I think i'm doing ok. When it warms up a bit I will feed in the far field and then they get a new swath every time so there is no build up. What you see there is from Jan1st till now. Been -30C for most of the time and I feed a little heavy then. Another week and weather should get close to above freezing here and then they will get a little less.

ive got 80head Holstein steers and 25 Holstein heifers of the neighbores, feed about 4 round bales a week (1500 lbs) plus a tmr mix with oatlage and corn, plus the normal cats and dog and goat and chickens. have problem with hawk is getting a chicken now and again, another one today, gonna have to be addressed
