Hope I wear as well.......

At a party last night, I ran into the uncle of a good friend of mine.

He'll be 96 in April, and to look at him and talk with him, you'd swear he wasn't over 65 or 70. His wife died 12 years ago, and he just moved into town from the farm 5 years ago. Still appears to be in perfect health, etc.

I can only hope I do as well.

I ran in to a guy like that at a funeral a year ago. He was going on 98 come April. He's still alive by the way. He's my oldest uncle's late wife's brother. He lived a mile and a half north of us when I was growing up. I remember him helping Dad and my uncle with the silo filling every year.
He said he's not on any medications but his joints are starting to give out,so he was using one of those rolling walkers. Sharp as a tack, remembered everybody, had a ton of stories about all the old folks in the neighborhood over the years.
A cousin said he saw him at the fair about ten years ago standing in line to ride the roller coaster. Said he rode it three or four times that day. Quite a guy.

I got a neighbor 95 still runs the combine in fall. The boy who farms with him (late 60s) says Dad loves running the 9400. Can get up in it real good but has a hard time coming down out of it.

Friend will be 101 in a month , and that guy is a blast to talk to , 40+years at western elec,
remembers all of his cars he's owned, not a Farm boy , but still nice to talk to
