Hello Ron Are you the fella I met a few years ago on my way to Alaska via the airport in Minneapolis and then the bus trip down to Forest City Iowa to take a motorhome to Alaska. I BOUGHT A COUPLE ITEMS--One was a shaft off off a buzz saw....

len in michigan

1948 Minneapolis Moline RTE
Old Gravely walk behind with dog eater snow blower
Old barn with flock of sheep in winter
1947 Case LA LP standard wide front

Old A looks "normal" except we had the weights on the outside so they could be yanked off when our Farmall rowcrop tractors didn't need them, usually from early June until we worked ground for wheat in September or later on took the mounted picker off. Bare wheels during cultivating and haying time. Always worried about soil compaction on our red clay hills on our farm Left them on the rest of the time.....Never took them off the W-6 Standard of course.

Same here, grew up with a 38 A with home poured concrete weights had to take off in summer to put cultivators on. Never saw a weight for the inside of the wheel.

Got the same picture on our JD calendar here in Sask. too. But lets go back 50 years to see what was state of the art in 1968. Interesting the 1968 calendar will work for 2018 too.

Married2Allis She got confused and wound up in the wheel on the other tractor. Said she didn't want to be with some old thing like that. So chose the new generation model.
