855 cummins injector tube

Hello all--While installing fuel injectors in 855 cummins engine, I found one with bottom o-ring burnt, & metal eroded away. so, injector became unseated, or tube cracked/ damaged--see nothing with naked eye] ok, I believe this tube hold back coolant? ( did a 7.3, but it put fuel in coolant] can I pressure up cooling system with my hand pump enough to check? Thanks

I would say so. It has been 20 years since I installed a set. I am trying to remember how much pressure I would use. I had an Irontite pressure tester and would install the heads on that once I had the tubes installed.

Thanks-- what I did was plug in block heater----temp up] pumped up my stant coolant system tester on max psi for a bit.---made other leaks happen, nothing on injector tube-----
