Hay prices that is. These are actually down from the last 2 weeks. January 6 sale had some 4x5 rounds of alfalfa bring over $100 a bale.

hard to 50.00 a bale around here. lots for 35.00-40.00. central alberta.

Last weekend sale in Mid Mi. Decent 4x5 hay averaged 50-60 bucks a bale. Small Square bales averaged 5-6 bucks, some lots were 8-10 bucks depending on quality. Small square straw 2-3 bucks. Nice big square hay was 65-75 bucks. Big square straw 25 bucks.

Just sold some 70lb small squares for 5 each.Too chaep. Due to a late freeze(May 15) there is little 1st cut. Hay is short here.

4x5 round of decent grass hay is having trouble
getting $25 each around here. I have some good 2nd
cut grass small squares for sale at 5 each, and
it's moving slow.

Lots of hay here in central VA,small squares I see from $3 to $7,round bales from $20 up to $60 for top of the line alfalfa/grass mix.Way more hay than cows anymore.

Lots of hay around here in Ontario, most of it is old moldy, dusty junk , if it is dry hay. Wet wrapped
bales are better , but more money, and less on the market. Wet summer last year ruined a lot of hay.

Neighbor is buying 4x5 rounds of grass hay from about 10 miles away for $15 a bale. Plenty good for beef cattle. Another guy I know is buying
year old 5x5 rounds for $5 a bale. Supposedly ok, I have not seen it myself. This is in central MN. I?ll have about 400 extra round bales myself
this year, but at the low prices I?m seeing, I?ll just hang on to it. Might need it next year...........

Still some smaller dairy farms around here - for now. Keeps hay prices relatively steady. Dunno how they're staying afloat, hope they continue.
