Steel bins look like they will do the job,but I have never heard of a concrete bin blowing out that way

Concrete will blow out and did at Russell, Kansas and two young fellows died. One was loading or unloading a semi and the other was visiting him. Both were buried under the grain.

One of the young men in Kansas was working at the elevator summers to pay for college. Very sad.

This was a quanset that blew out the side a few years ago across from my place. Heard the boom and it was all over in a couple seconds. Even a small failure like this could bury a fellow quick.

There was a deal a couple years ago, a wall of corn bridged inside a regular fairly small farmers bin, he walked tot he door to do so,thing about it, and the wall of corn let loose, blew out the door of the bin and killed the fella.

Amazing the power a few kernels of corn have, when they have a lot of friends. We just don't think about it....

looking at your latest pics big tee and the amount of rust especially on the bottom panels i'm willing to bet money if these guys have insurance the ins. co. will bale out through that window!
