JD 1010 vs JD 50

Does anybody know if the water pump repair kit out of a 50 fit the water pump on a 1010RU.

Seems like a bit of a strange question, but the answer seems to be NO.

Two different pumps were used on the "50", early and late.

The "late" pump is most similar to the 1010's pump, and the bearing, seal and impeller part numbers are all different between them..

Yeah I knew it was a long shot but had the 50 rebuild kit laying around just thot I?d try.

Just some warning if you have never rebuilt a 1010 water-pump before. Unlike most other Deere pumps, the castings are thin and crack like an egg shell if you press on them too hard.
