I have a f150 4 x4 with a tow package on it
etc..Would it be safe to haul a tractor that weighs
about 7000lbs with a tandem trailer

Here's a link to the 2006 Ford towing guide - look at page 16 for the F-150.

By the time you put a 7000 lb tractor on a trailer rated to carry that much you're looking at well over 9000 lbs total weight. Regardless of how your truck is equipped this would be at the VERY top end of Ford's ratings. Also keep in mind that a conventional trailer would require a load equalizing hitch for this kind of weight.

I have a 10 150 with a tow package and a goose neck hitch,I haul my 60 4x4 it weighs 7200 no problem with it

Like 504 says, check the sticker in the door frame. Different build options make the GCVW vary from one individual truck to another. Don't go by what anyone tells you about what they have no problem with. When some little old lady pulls out in front of you, and you run over her, is when the problem comes along.

I had a 2005 F-150 with the smaller V-8 I used to haul a Case 800 from Indiana to Virginia. Weight is close to what you are looking at. Had low miles at the time and it was all that truck wanted, and it seemed to need to stop and rest at every gas station. Coming out of the New River Gorge on I-64 (5 miles of 7.5% grade) I was pedal to the metal doing 35 MPH.A little better coming up the back side of Afton Mountain.

I have since gotten a new Ford F150 with the turbo V-6. Rated 13000lbs towing and it eats hills. Same New River grade with a 4000lb tractor, dropped below 70 MPH once, to negotiate a sharp curve, then right back to 70. I know it was a lighter tractor, but turbo chargers are amazing.

You asking this question here makes me think you already know it will be "iffy" as in white knuckles.
If you have put bigger, taller tires without axle gear changes, your truck will be working harder than O.E.M.
You will know it when your mpg goes from 14 to 6 or 7mpg.

Make sure the electric trailer brakes are working good and adjusted to activate as soon as you touch the pedal.

And your tandem trailer will need to have capacity higher than just most common 3500lbs per axle.

If your twelve year old F-150 is equipped with the perfect combination of options and it is in like new condition, it will be marginable. Will you be towing on: flat open country roads with no other traffic at 50 MPH; or in hills, turns, heavy traffic, low visibility, and with some 70 MPH to zero MPH panic stops due to stop-and-go traffic congestion?

Short answer: It would probably be safer to drive the tractor rather than tow it behind too light a tow vehicle.

Same in the states. Owners manual only what shows towing capacity. That is the way my Dakotas are. Other trucks never had manual except 49 chevy and that is something not thought of at that time.
