Round baler

Hey all I am in search of a 4x4 round baler with net wrap. I have been all over the interweb and seem to be a day late and a dollar short. Preferably I would like to find a claas 46 but as long as it has net wrap I would look at any brand. I would really appreciate the assistance of the eyes and ears of the y.t. members. I am located in southeastern Indiana but as long as I can afford to, shipping isn't an issue. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

good question i have a newholland 450 silage special will out bale anything but when the bale is made it might put on net rap or might not. dealer had worked on it several times but didnt help[ it , tried using string its way in the top by the time it comes down its so hard to pull itb breaks a lot, its hard to re thread not sure i would recomend one, i have had pritty good luck with john deeere balers thay work lots better, sone say a vermeer works good some dont know, if i didnt bale much hay i would go withna older new holland 848 ther cheep and east to work on good luck.

I have a JD 435 baler with the net wrap box on it. I used it last year to make some bales but I only used the twine wrap as I did not have any net. It did work great but although I bought it to sell I am thinking that I should keep it for my own use. Most people with the JD balers seem to like them but they can be costly to buy.

We have a 648 NH with net,it's a very finicky piece of equipment. It makes a great bale but takes near nothing to plug the pickup untill the core is formed and we found with ours the only satisfaction with net is with John Deere net, make sure the break rubber is good,if it won't pick up the net take a spring off the brake on each side and if it wont cut it put them back on. I'll second the John Deere recommendation, last NH baler well own.

There is a big auction in Campbellsburg, Ky. Sat. I don't know what's there, but there are usually several balers.

Good choice. I have a 46 roto cut myself. Simple tough bakers. You won't get as much hay in a bale as you will in a belt baler, but sufficient. There's a "Craigslist checker"app that might help your search if not aware of it.

They come and go. When you find one they're priced moderately. I gave 7k for mine 3yrs ago and is in very good shape. Had to put a couple pick up tines on it and a net wrap knife, but nothing since. I did notice a couple in Ohio on tractor house.
