Re: Kubota?s seem to start well in the cold

yea, with the 2 I have owned they wouldn't start at all if not for good glow plugs, even in the summer

Couple weeks ago -18 degrees. 2005 Bobcat B300 with a Kubota engine. Hit the glow plugs and it started right up. I've found that Kubota and Yanmar engines always start when it is cold. Good batteries and treated fuel are the secrets.

S185 Bobcat with Kubota engine starts good in cold weather with the countdown glowplugs. Before you hit the start button, look at the little screen to see if it's counting down from ten, or less if not as cold.

Check the battery cables, especially the post clamp end. My 7510 Kubota was having some starting issues.
It boiled down to the positive cable post clamp. It came with one of those small tin strap clamps for the
positive post. Upon cleaning and inspection, 1/2 the tin strap around the post was corroded away.
New "real" post clamp and new cable eliminated several small problems.
