making rack to hold pressure canner cooker

Bought new stove & over the range microwave, but with the new type of grill, it is to high for a pressure canner cooker. Would like to make a rack that's not as high as the grill-what would the best material to it out of?

Used oven rack. Weld it with E309.

Forgot to mention-used oven rack, but flame from burner melted rack.

Might be easier to buy a smaller canner or a stand-alone propane burner.
