Calf Care Recommendations

Looking back to 1975 in my memory. Two scoops of mix per about a 2/3 fill of water in that nursing bucket with the white rubber nipple bucket. Taste test it. Should taste like really really creamy milk. Same as momma would make.

I can't say about that brand of milk replacer, the stuff I get at the feed mill the bag always has a cup buried inside and they suggest 8 oz. of powder to 2 qts water.

Watch the back end of the calf. I found the recommended amount is very generic . What calves are you feeding? When i was feeding if you feed a jersey the amount they said it would kill them most times that was for a Holstein. Same goes for a bigger Holstein versus a small one. Simple rule if there painting the walls back off

I agree with the others who said about 8-10oz per feeding of 2qt warm water is pretty close. Should be a marked measuring cup in the bag.

Thanks for the information,my wife has bottle raised lots of calves and goats but we picked up this bag of replacer at the Coop Friday and it has no directions or cup in it first time
I've seen that.
