Well, it?s been raining and icing here since 7am. About 23 Deg. Listening to grand ole Opry on the radio. I had to go down to Nashville & back earlier today. I?ve got 4 wheel drive and good tires. Be safe out there.

There is 4 inches of snow on top of about 1/4 inch of ice in Jackson TN. Interstate 40 from Memphis to Nashville was closed for a few hours this afternoon.

You folks be safe out there! I feel fortunate to live where glare/slick ice isn't very common. Temps are usually cold enough to simply turn the snow and ice into just another hard driving surface.

And the kids from our church in Jackson TN were planning a trip to Gatlingburg but the ice and snow knocked that out. One church nearby chanced it and made it safely but that is a heck of a lot of liability for that.
