oil pump ford 5000

I had our 5000 get hot sitting in drive running shut it off seen oil light had come on fluids ok doesnt want to start motor not stuck but not good . I am wanting to check shaft if
i take filter off can iget to pump shaft was trying to find viedo Cap looks like e freeze plug any help would be great
 
Yes, you can get to the oil pump drive gear by pulling that cover/soft plug.
Below it is a hex coupler that connects the gear to the pump.
I don't know how much you'll see that way though. You'll probably need to pull the pan.
Good punctuation and sentence structure make reading/comprehension much easier.

Thank you we are just trying to see what might of happened we pulled off the out exturnal parts thinking maybe some thing their. Son and i talked about whats next it is his tractor he"s not spending much to fix /starter is off and use a pry bar not good . he bought it right and used for 5 years .He think's it going to go down the road . You are all right next step would be oil pan. I have my 6700 parked by it getting a clutch put in it is our loader tractor 7000 hours i'am ready to pull off the pins looking for a helper or someone to watch as it comes apart . Thanks

Mr. Owen; Ultradog's post comes across strictly as one trying to help. Yours on the other hand, comes across as condemning and not as a good witness for a believer.
 
I tend to agree that good grammar, spelling, punctuation, etc., could be expected from most anyone literate enough to operate a computer, especially when asking for help solving a problem. Why put the burden of trying to decipher your hastily constructed message on the reader? A little effort goes a long way.

i guess i just not all that smart. i read your post didn't realize that it had mistakes tell all the english writing teacher chimed in

Ben, apparently you are exceptionally smart, being able to be sure that you knew exactly what the OP was explaining and asking. Many people are reluctant to try to answer questions when they are not sure that they understand what is being asked. Since you have capability that others do not, it would be good of you to help the OP right away rather than criticizing others instead.
 
well showcrop its like this seeing how Ultradog MN had already answer the question i didn't see lot need to expand on it. your right i do know lot thing that lot people don't know.
