Old horse will not warm up took thermostat out it fell into 5 different piece's not sure how to put new one back in has two seals top and bottom not sure witch way.
Trying to get the heater to work been a little cool here in Nebraska.

Usually the pointed end goes into the radiator hose

good evening old horse, something I"ve ran into up here is faulty t-stats that won't open at the rated temp, some won't open with the water boiling! I buy 10 t-stats at a time for my welder repair business 180 degree, I have been putting 5 at a time on a piece of bent hay wire across the top of one of the wifes pots full of water hold a thermometer in there turn the heat on and watch for the ones that will open at 180 degrees. I'm averaging 3 to 4 t-stats that open at 180, 1 or 2 will open at 190 to 200 the rest won't open at any temp. the duds I take back. just a heads up for you and these are stant t-stats not cheap jobbers??

Wow thought it was me tried two one didn't open the other opened and stayed open.
dealer didn't believe until we did it at his shop. two more on order hoping this will
take care of it >
