Today's Funny was about getting sidetracked while trying to do something, and Fawteen introduced the "butfirstIgotta" concept. Here's mine for today.

I need to level up the floor for concrete in the two machine shed bays that I'm going to convert to an enclosed, insulated, heated and air conditioned shop.
ButfirstIgotta move the truck and slide-in camper that's parked in there to another building.
BFIG move the Hudson over a couple of feet to make room for truck and camper.
BFIG clear out and rearrange some stuff so I've got room to move it over.
BFIG arm wrestle SWMBO over a bunch of the stuff that's hers but really just needs to go to the dump.

OTOH (on the other hand), that nap I need ain't gonna take itself!

Yes Indeed. I take back every time I resisted taking a nap as a kid...

Hudson as in car? few years ago in the cheese day parade there were 3 red Hudson convertibles in a row in the parade. what are the odds of that? was one of those your car?

Is refusing to take a nap the same as Resisting A Rest?

The odds were actually pretty good- they all belonged to the same guy! Charlie Hall, who lived up on the hill at the intersection of the Winlock- Toledo highway and Jackson Highway. He is now deceased, but operated the tavern up by Lewis and Clark Park (also now gone) before he retired. He thought the Hudsons would be a better investment of his retirement money than the stock market, and he was right. But he laughed about it later and said once he bought them, he couldn't bring himself to sell any of them, so it was like he didn't have any retirement money at all. His son has them now, don't know if he has sold any. There were three colors of red for Hudsons in 1954, and he had one of each. Very difficult to tell the difference, unless they were all parked together.
