Manual fuel pump...Hey, SVcummins

Finally got around to buying one of those 50 gallon/100 stroke hand fuel pumps, put it in today.

You weren't lying...that thing will make a man out of you. Could set it up for the 25 gallon/100 strokes, but I don't want to sissy out just yet. Be able to fill the 8700 in 100 strokes if my arm doesn't fall off.

And got a deal. Was going to buy it from Northern, $129 (with coupon) and free shipping, checked Amazon 1 more time, they had 1 left. $85 delivered. They're back up to $168 now...go figure.

They are tough pump to run for sure but they will move the fuel and make your arm look like Popeye after a summer pumping fuel with it .

Back in the 70s would go with my stepfather on Saturdays and had exclusive picking rights (he ran a landfill).
1st thing I had to do was fuel up the 3 dozers with a 4 turns to a gallon pump. Each machine required 60-75 gallons.
Not to bad in good weather but wasn't fun when pouring or at zero degrees and wind blowing 30 MPH as was outside work.
