Front mounted pedestal style hyd pump replacement

OK, I put a loader back on my tractor. The pump runs off the front of the crank via a flex shaft to a hyd pump that has a base-plate mounted to a plate steel loader frame. To clarify, the base of the pump housing is parallel to the driveshaft.

All the repl pumps I'm seeing are over $500. However, those concentric plate pumps, where the shaft comes right out the mounting plate are only $149 at Northern Tool.

Does anyone know of a decent pedestal mount pump that isn't so costly?

OUCH! You don';t need a pedestal-mounted pump, or northern tool. Unless you have lots of $$$$$$.

Get a simple SAE face pump and a mounting "foot".

Check out Surplus Center.

This will work. I found a pump that fits the SAE A for not too much money. Should be all fixed up for around $200, plus some hardware.

6GPM @ 2000 rpm, for $124.

(quoted from post at 07:23:56 01/09/18) That pump looks like it only operates < 200psi, that wouldn't lift much!

Can you provide the reference for that please? Here's what I have from the PDF:

Model
Displacment Pressure Speed RPM Weight
cu.in/rev cm3/rev PSI Mpa Rated Max Lbs. Kg

GP-F20-12 0.73 12 3650 25 2000 3600 8.55 3.88

3600PSI @ 2000 rpm.

As for flow, for a couple bucks more I can go up to 12GPM:

WOW! You guys all like S-L-O-W loaders. A stock live hyd pump on a Super M, SM-TA, 400/450 was 12 GPM
wide open, 1450-1500 rpm and on a loader were none too fast. I'd go for something 16 gpm or just a bit
bigger. The Case 530 Construction King TLB I ran had a BIG crankshaft driven pump. I'd set the hand
throttle at about 800-1000 rpm and use the foot throttle with the torque converter to load the bucket, idle
most everywhere else, maybe a dab on the foot throttle if needed. I could put six buckets of chips for
spreading on oiled roads in our 16 ft Krauuse spreader box in about four minutes, was around 24,000# net.
I wanted the loader to raise as I was creeping forward to the truck.

Well, if there's a link to a front mount 3/4" shaft pump that fits a SAE A 2 mount with 16GPM, I'm all for it. The loader is on a Ford 8N, and I have limited HP to drive it, but faster is better. OBTW, I'm NOT going to spend $5-700 for a pump/mount. This is hobby unit that I use to mess with some projects, and no one is getting paid.

I've learned that all problems can be solved by writing checks. The link to the foot mount, was very helpful. I have the pump spec, now the mount spec, and all for under $200 that gets me 12GPM @ 3000PSI. That's gonna do.

Hey doc, have you considered rebuilding yours? Mine was a Vickers and I was able to increase the gpm simply by changing the cartridge. I didn't see the make in your description, but you may be able to do so too at a cheaper price.
