Versatile 160

Looking for any leads on a hydraulic pump for a Versatile 160 bi-directional tractor. Have recently purchased the tractor but needs a hydraulic pump. If you have one or know of anyone who can help please let me know. Thanks

NOT sure what you were thinking when you bought it in a non-functioning form, but they are a pretty cool tractor but basically obsolete, a money pit and a big LEAK on wheels! (That being said, I WANT one!)

Versatile/Buhler/Rostselmash doesn't support them, they are under the wing of FIAT.

Many parts are NLA or $$$$$.

The hydraulic pump, part # V66354 is just short of two grand from FIAT, and discontinued, but there's some on the dealers' shelves out there, apparently..

The gear, part #V65279, is NLA, and a quick GOOGLE search didn't turn up any. A boneyard is your only hope.

GOOD LUCK!

Try Big Tractor parts in Hawley MN They carry a lot of parts for old Stieger and Versatile tractors. Not cheap but will have lots of parts. As for what you want not sure.

When the hydraulic pump in my '96 Ford with SLE went out the service manager promised that he would find me a reman for way under the $5300.00 of a new one. Four days later he had to eat his words and get a new one from Fiat. Yours should be way less money but will a used one be worth half of a new one?

Have you talked to a New Holland Dealer?

I own a 150 and the parts guy at the nearest New Holland Dealer talked about a company in Wisconsin (sorry can't remember the name) that bought all of the old Versatile stock. When he checked on a valve control for the hydraulics on my 150 they were about the same price as All States Ag Parts was for used, might not be the case for a pump but worth a try.
