I'm doing some work on my mower three point hookup. The 3/8 lift arm metal on the mower is just not thick enough, and gets wobbled out from bouncing hour, after hour. I am welding a one inch spacer on each side for the pin. That should take care of the wobbled out hole. I am looking for some rubber material that I can put on each side of the lift arm ball end to keep it frm sliding back and forth on the 1 inch pin. Anyone know of a rubber bushing (donut) of sorts with a one inch Id. around 3/4 thick. Od is not real critical. Thanks Stan

Could make some from an old conveyer belt or mud flap ? A stack of machinery washers to take up the gap might help ?

I used a piece of hydraulic hose for that same purpose. The pins were 7/8" and I think I used 1" hose, for some reason the pins on that mower were extra long so my spacers were about 1 1/2". Lasted only about a month or so of mowing but I made a dozen out of an old scrap hose so I just changed them out. Cut them on the abrasive cut off wheel. Traded off that mower or I'd post a picture.

I had the same problem with a new Bush Hog, have been quite disappointed with it for what we paid for it. One of the pins came loose and stripped the threads when it was pretty new, the dealer gave me new ones but I ended up buying some at L&M that were shorter, and better, made in India, originals made in china! The shorter the pins are the less stress, and the less sliding back and forth. I tightened them very tight and then welded, if I need to remove them I have a grinder! I made metal spacers out of half nut by drilling the treads out, but rubber sounds like a good idea.

I have actually have hockey pucks in my tractor yard from the neighbor kids when they were younger. I might see if I can still find a couple. Stan

Thanks for the good reply's. I may go with cutting pieces from old tires with my hole saw. I have a lot of old tires. Thanks Stan
