Tony, Edith ( Edith the 800) has about 5000 siblings. It has the Elenco FWD option. A kit made in Rockford Ill. in the 50's for ford tractors. Uses a dodge power wagon front axle, a custom transfer case. Pretty rare I have only seen 3 in person, one was at a tree farm 3 miles south of me, one at a show, picked up this one about 60 miles from me. She was in pretty rough shape and it took several months to get her. But like any good lady she was worth the wait. Just search Elenco on this site and pics and stories will come up. I think about selling it, but I just love her too much at this time of year.

First of all, Thank You for the information. Secondly, Id hate to have you break one of my rules which is Never Sell Your Toys!!!!!!!!!!!!

A neighbor up by my folks had one, this guy has the bucks to fix it correctly. Something about the transfer breaks or gears. Something breaks if you beat the snot out of them. They look super duper for an older fun toy!

"Edith" looks to be an 841, 801 series, not 800, with an Elenco FWA.
Not sure about the lock out hubs though, if they are.
Tony Jacobs now owns Elenco.
He is a regular poster on the Ford forum here on YT.

Royse,
Yes Edith is an 801 series, an 841S to be exact. Her sister is Nancy the 900, and she is a 55 900 series. The better half only knows them by 800 or 900, that is why I call her Edith the 800. The better half doesn't get how ford numbered all the tractors, and if I started talking about an 841 she'd think there was another tractor around.(its happened before and will happen again)...lol...as long as I stay with the 600-900 fords and don't park them all together I don't think she'll notice a few more or one that's just "visiting"...

I did notice the Sherman logger, wasn't sure if it was added.
Very nice tractor with some awesome options including the PS.
Wish I had one like it!

Joan doesn't give me too much trouble about buying another
tractor until I have to build a new barn. Then, I usually have to
concede that it's time to reduce or stop procuring. ;)

very nice tractor logger, you can always use mike from texas story, he tells his wife "look honey it just followed me home"! on my next mm purchase i'll give that line a try, will let you know how it works out

Nice! That reminds me I really should get mine painted and out of the barn. It would help if I get the dead dozer that's in front of it out of it's way.
Yours looks almost too pretty to run in the woods. I like a vertical exhaust but not for my woods. I see you also gave it the lock out hubs, nice.
Here is what I do to smuggle tractors home. Tell my wife my friend want to use my trailer to pickup a tractor. I'm going along to help him. Stress, tractor For Him NOT me. Trailer leaves empty. Pickup the tractor, store it by friends house. Trailer comes home empty. Wife is happy. When my wife goes to church shoot over friends house pickup tractor bring it home and hide it amoust the other tractors behind the barn. Wife still happy until a couple months goes by and she takes a count and somehow the count has increased by one and now it's north of 30 so wife not happy. So I tell her I pieced the new tractor from parts laying around the barn. Wife now on my case to sell something. After a couple of months maybe sell one of the beat up old parts tractor. Wife see tractor leaving, she's happy.
That "This is the last one" might be good for 10 more maybe 20 but after that she ain't buying it.
Yea I know I have a too many tractor problem.
