I have a John Deere 7000 6 row with 5 more planting units on it making it an eleven row 15" bean planter. In doing routine maintenance I have been noticing that the front rows have loose gauge wheels at the pivoting point. Taking washers out still won't necessarily hold the rubber wheel up to the double disk opener. They need rebuilt. I see there are at least three kits to snug the wheels up against the openers. I was wondering about the pros and cons of each rebuild kit or others you might know of. The three I know of are: 1) a threaded bushing which you can turn its threads and move the gauge wheel in or out, 2) The eccentric bushing with the locking nut/washer, and 3) the RK product which seems to basically "squeeze" the gauge wheel arm on the shaft using the washers. Ideas/comments appreciated. Thanks
