hydraulic problems JD 2350

The original subject was "hydraulic problems JD 2350".

Any updates on solving this problem? I am having the same issues with my 2350, I am leaning towards the problem being the trans pump. How do you test this pump?

These models develop many internal leaks as the wear, and dealing with them is a big chore,,check little things first like how does having it in Hi or low,,PTO on or off affect the problem for a start..

The way a JD mechanic told me one time on a 2640 was to take the filter off and spin the engine and it should pour out hyd oil if just a dribble the pump is bad or maybe the drive shaft is slipping inside the pressure plate or maybe a eternal leak

Welcome to YT
1st thing to do if it hasn't been done lately is install new hyd filter. Also check/clean hyd suction screen. Over the yrs many hyd pumps have been replaced only to find out pump wasn't the problem. With hyd filer cover removed trans pump should pump out over 1 gallon in 15 seconds while turning engine over.
