Tim Gray Georgetown Ohio tractor sales

I think its time for a new forum on the lies and deception of this Man(sorry, wrong term), maybe Salesman is a better term. He has outright lied to me and owes me money($600.00). I would like the other people who have been screwed by this man to post follow ups, hopefully to protect his future customers from becoming customers of his. If you dont want to bend over, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS MAN. I have over 1,000 positive ebay ratings(100%) as a buyer and seller. I have not witnessed anyone this bad in the last fifteen years on ebay or anywhere else for that matter. Please post your dealings with this man to hopefully show the world, he will promise everything and deliver nothing.

I bought a Case/IH 585 on ebay which he described as "starts and runs good". Long story short, when it was delivered the tractor had water in the oil and only a little stop leak sludge in the radiator. I did start however, but should have been on the salvage row at an auction. When I called him he finally agreed to a small $600 refund to cover some of it. He stated as soon as I left him positive feedback he would send the money to my paypal account. I said no I need it the other way around. He then stated I could leave him negagtive feedback and no refund, or leave him positive and he would send $600, "you have my word on it". After leaving positive feedback for him he now curses as he hangs up if he mistakenly answers my call. That is my rant, he is not only a crook, but a liar.

This guy has been doing this for years. He buys a lot of stuff from the tri-green auction at london ohio.Sometimes he has a shoe box full of cash to pay with.I hear he is involed in some illegal activity and uses tractors to launder cash.

He has several tractors on ebay now.. I was looking for a small 30 horse or so to push snow and play with. After reading his feedback I surely won't deal with him.

I live a small distance from greys. He has a bad rap locally. He use to go to local auctions and screw with tractors so they wouldnt run. He has had some tractors I would be interested in but ive always passed . Good luck I hope you get it straightened out!

so that i understand,..even though he screwed you,.. you left him positive feedback so the rest of us would think he was allright to deal with ????? but only since you didn't get paid we hear about it....thanks..

NO THEY WONT! I bought a truck off Ebay, It was in Iowa I Am in SW Ohio. It was the truck that I always wanted, I called and talked to the seller and asked very specific questions and also did this through Ebay so there was something in writing. This was his personal truck that he used daily. Uses no oil, No oil leaks, Transmission shifted good and oil was clean with no leaks, No body damage and 1 small spot of rust. Starts and runs good with no problems. Tires 1/2 tread or better and NO Frame or chassis damage 96 F350 PS Extend cab with 85000 miles. I asked if it would pass a DOT Inspection and pass he said without a doughty YES. I bought it had a transport Co. deliver it for $550 and when I got it that's when the fun started. I called him the next morning to chew some A$$! Took 45min to get it started (glow plug system shot)Was a gallon low on oil, Trans was 1/2 gal low and leaking and burned, Tires were totally shot, Every body panel damaged rust everywhere and the flat bed was about to fall off the truck, 19 lights burned out, And to top it off the front end had frame damage that was bad enough you could see it. After telling him all this he tells me that he hadn't driven the truck in 2 years and it was driven by his construction crew everyday and I AINT WORRYED ABOUT IT ITS YOURS NOW and hung up on me! Called Ebay and went through there hoops and telling they whats wrong with it and what it needed and what the seller had told me(and lied about). Ebay told me that dew to the age it IS NOT COVERED BY THERE BUYER PROTECTION PROGRAM and there was NOTHING THEY COULD DO ABOUT IT! All I could do was leave negative feed back! They did tell me to file a police report against the seller in his home town or county, RIGHT 625 miles away! Long story short, I own a truck that I gave $4000 that needs $5000 worth of work to make it drive able. EBAY ONLY WANTS YOUR MONEY and protects the sellers and only gives them a tap on the wrist and tells they you shouldn't do that, WHILE the buyer gets the shaft! You can file all the papers you want AND IT WILL CHANGE NOTHING! Bandit

I guess I just work too hard for my money, I might gamble a 100.00 bucks, but more than that I am going to drive anything with a motor that I buy.

You could also post your story in his local CraigsList section under farm equipment. Even if you don't get the money back, you can help others. Everyone checks out CL.

After he shafted you on the condition of the tractor, what made you think he would "keep is word" on refunding you the $600.00, after you left him positive feedback?

He not only shafted you once, and you knew it, but you went back and let him shaft ya again on the refund for positive feedback deal!!!

I've known him since he was a little kid. He is a shrewd business man. If you think you've been screwed, then maybe you should quit shopping on line. If you are clueless as to what you're doing you can get burned. Did you ever hear the old saying, "buyer beware"? The man has worked hard to get where he is....quit whining and take it like a man.

Exactly!! I will never buy a tractor, truck, or car sight unseen.
