O.T. comming home to rest.

My #2 Son (Bob)Gets to come home Sat bar any complications. The nurses station didn't help last evening, by telling him he had to finish his evening meal or else they would take away his tray. What a loser the orderly was. The Dr told him to take as long as he needed to eat.My daughter had a long conversation with the Dr this morning and from what i can gather, The Dr hot footed it down to the nurses station and gave em what for. Now Bob is treated with respect again.I wanted to get dressed and go up to the hospital,as did Victor, and give em he--. But thankfully the problem got resolved.Bob will be on a soft diet for about 6 weeks, which means NO TURKEY,Dressing, candy yams, etc. Baby food I think. But none the less. Were all thankful for his return, and were thankful for all your prayers and kind thoughts.Thought you all would like the information. Warmest regards, Lou & Victor

Great news Lou. Hope and pray things go well.
Our son was in a big city hospital after a serious accident where he almost lost his arm.
One of the nurses kept jerking him around, literally, and was hurting him as well as risking damaging the bypass they had to do in his arm. I went to the head nurse and told her not to let that _____ back in his room. She understood and said that nurse had a problem.
The rest of them were super nice and I thanked them for taking care of him.

Glad to hear your son will be home soon.

Just a thought here, LOU... and that is ONLY IF your son would be permitted to eat a rich meal like Thanksgiving dinner (due to his colon surgery)...

But years ago, my sister had her jaw broken in an accident and had to have her jaw wired shut for months. She could only eat liquids through a straw -- so my mom used the kitchen blender to blend up her Thanksgiving dinner into separate cups (and added a small amount of extra liquid so it would go through a straw).

So sis had a small cup each of: blended turkey, potatoes and gravy, green bean casserole and a touch of jellied cranberry... all drank through a straw.
She said though it was a bit weird to 'drink' her Thanksgiving dinner - it tasted delicious!

how do people like that keep their jobs?
they should be given a stick and trash can to clean the streets
