That is how I looked last night when I lost one leg of the house wiring. Went to check the main circuit breaker panel and flipped the breakers off and back on and one of them started buzzing for some reason. Turned if off again right quick.

It's just as bad to smell something. It usually takes me at least 5 gallons before my brain can recognize the smell of hydraulic oil spraying somewhere.

When the song on the radio has a percussion part that sounds like something ticking or coming loose somewhere on the machine. It has got me several times.

I had a C-130 from Ripley buzz me one time when I was running the tractor. I guy gets tuned into the rhythm of equipment and the sound of the tractor. This guy came from behind me and I actually shut the tractor off because he was that low. Now mind you a C-130 doesn't have to be real low to get me to do that. Just low enough. As the tractor was shutting down I recognized his shadow and when I looked up I could see the pilot. I think he was laughing.
My brother lived in Jay NY and said the A-10's were known to jump a guy as they flew the landscape of the Adirondaks. Said he had to carry extra toilet paper and you seldom heard them coming.

A friend retired from flying the fighters out of Plattsburg back when they were based there and it was a tradition that about the whole squadron goes out for a final flight when someone retires. They flew over to Maine and he had video of of a log truck coming down a mountain, so one after another, they buzzed him from behind. I bet he had to change his britches when he got home.
You also mentioned the A-10's. I was working in the Adirondacks near Hoffmiester NY, pushing over a waste area high on a ridge overlooking a little valley, suddenly two A 10's came up the valley just above the treetops BELOW me and they looked up and waved as they went by not much over hundred feet away.
