I wasn't on here last night so I thought I would start a new post to JD's post about the hydraulic front wheel assist Olivers. I went to Sparky's sale at Jesup,Iowa this last June. He had 3 of them. I threw away my copy of the sale bill and results but if you want to look up the results go to Aumman's auction results.---Tee

Never seen one around here. I use to work on a 4240 deere with hfwd. It look like the rear axle of my 7720 combine. Shelling corn this morning glad the 9510 has a power rear axle. I think the hyd axles work better in the combines than the tractors. Somewhere I have a mfwd axle for a 4840.

I had a Deere 4630 with Hydraulic FWA and is was not one of Deere's better ideas. It was the same front end they put under sp choppers and 7700 combines. It leaked oil. Some short line company made a seal update kit for it but I traded it.---Tee

IDK anything about hydraulic FWA tractors but the Oliver mechanical FWA on their 50 series tractors worked very well and were pretty much bulletproof.oh you could break an axle if you tried I'm sure but they were pretty tough
