Probably the original muffler on that tractor. The replacements on my 4240 and 2520 are Stanley mufflers....

I have Stanley mufflers on IH H;M;400,etc. A bit louder than 'factory' oem,but quite adequet. They last a long time, too. The Stanley on my SuperM is over 15 years old.

When I was the painter at Donaldsons in Oelwein, Iowa we painted thousands of mufflers for various tractor manufactures.---Tee

Had a new Stanley on my 1941 "A" John Deere. It did seem loud to me. Changed to a new one from John Deere. Liked the sound much better, and the price wasn't bad.

I thought mufflers were painted either black or silver. Didn?t know they were painted tractor colors.

I was the first and last color blind painter the ever hired!!!!!!!!!!!

Well the John Deere is 67.00$ and the Stanley at bomgarrs is 50.00$ I think I?ll go with the factory muffler because I?d like it be as quiet as it can be and still look original

The original was/is a Nelson. Go with OEM/Nelson, I have a Stanley on my 4010 gas and it is MUCH louder than the original that was on it.
