Didn't seem to have much fear, went on about his business . I didn't have a gun.

I only like them when they are catching mice . they get to about 55 pounds here in south central Va. and really thin out the rabbits and turkeys .

Nice Doggie, keep catching those mouses!!! Just don't get to brave and start going after the barn cats!!! Maybe, doggy, set your sights on a bear.
Bruce, you are going to have to train him/her.

I've had'em follow me right around while I was picking up bales. One came right up on the other side of the trailer so close I could look her right in her black eyes.

Deer hunting yesterday morning but never saw a deer. Had 3 coyotes within 10 FEET of my tree. They were smart enough to stay in the briars so I could not get a clear shot at them. (archery season) And if I shot one the rest would likely hang around and dispose of the carcass. As soon as they crossed the field I was on my way to the house.

Hi That would make a good prize picture, for something like closest X to the end of it's tail. I had a bit of a job seeing him in the stalks on my monitor L.O.L. We get a few in the fields here in MB. A few years ago I baled for the night shift when the damp came in doing brittle winter wheat straw.

About 4 in the morning a couple of them turned up, either side of the swaths and ran down in the lights for a couple passes picking the mice as they ran out each side. I have baled late again in the same area but never seen anymore do the same thing. I wish I could of got a picture of them, it was real cool to see them do it. Just typical Coyotes taking full advantage of easy meals !!!!!.

Those darned things wake me up at all hours of the night, it's terrible during the summer, several times a night, windows open, and always when you have to go to work in the morning. Some days I do not know how I get by given the broken sleep.

Once I was hauling loads when combining corn. Saw one laying the field sleeping where combined the day before. Got off tractor and unhooked wagon, started walking toward it. I got about 30 feet away from it and yelled, "PUPPY" as load I could. That thing jumped about three feet in the air growling and ran the other way like it's tail was on fire.

Was mowing the neighbors field this summer and had one following the mower 25-40 feet behind. He (she?) would catch a mouse and run over into trees. Then a couple minutes later, be back following me.

What are you spreading? Neighbor had his place "Chickened". Big JD tractor, maybe a 10k gallon tank, spray heads like you see used when the highway dept sprays oil on the road hooked to the rear of the tank, had a mild odor, obvious color. Can't wait to see what it'll look like next summer.

I am letting all the nice folks in the village next to my farm smell my Dairy-Air. Been a Dairy farm beside this village longer than nearly anyone living in the village could remember, so no one ever grumbles to me. Don't think they like it much, just don't hear any complaints.

I use to deliver Quikie loaders, one dealer was off the beaten path south of I90 near Williamsburg Iowa, would arrive in the early evening or through the night,go to bed. The alarm clock was the coyotes and the farm dogs yippping and yapping back and forth.
Most of the dealers that I went to,you could pull into their yards and wait until some showed up,put on the coffee then open up,then unload me and I was off to the next drop.
Sure miss those times.

Somebody on here, some time ago, mentioned the air in "America's Dairyland"......but he wasn't talking about Wisconsin, he was talking about the "Land of 1000 Lakes", Minnesota. I went to see my sisters a few years ago and that took me through W. Tx. Lots of feed lots..........
