I was wondering did the 7060 come with 4wd as an option I want to get one how are the cabs I want a powers sift with series two cab how do they seirvice and start in the cold will they last dose any one have exsperance or pictures of inside of the cab want to trade my Massey 1130 with loader on it need some thing newer maybe A 1486 is how are they or a white or cas from the same era don?t want a Deere worth to much mouney looking for confort in cab thanks

To get near a full powershift with MFWD you are talking about an AC 8030 or 8050. The IH has only power Hi-Lo (TA) and the White is a 3 speed powershift in each of 6 gears for a total of 18 forward speeds. The IH would be fairly easy to find used parts when the need arises versus the AC or White. What is your budget?

Never had a MFWD. Would need an 8000 series AC. The 7060 probably has the worst cab of all you mentioned. Yes, it is quiet, but you feel like you are driving in a tank. Of your choices, I would go with an 8000 AC or the White. IH didn't have a powershift till the Magnums. You can pick up one of those fairly cheap now I think. The White and AC are starting to have parts issues. Not sure anything would start as good as the CDC in the Magnum either.

There's a White 2-155 FWA for sale on CL in southwest Michigan, but it's not cheap. I'd have to look it up,but I think they want either $17500 or $19500. They were a darned good dependable tractor with a good cab.
If you try to look it up and search White it'll come up in the list of ads,but the tractor isn't in the title of the ad. It just says something about farm equipment for sale, the tractor is just among the other things they have for sale.

i run my neighbors 7060 when he gets behind. not a bad tractor, his has a power director trans, not power shift. cab is a little small but at 6'2 and 220, i am ok with it. better than an open station in rain and sleet. about 160 hp, plugged in and a sniff of ether and it starts reasonably well in the winter. they do go pretty cheap, he got his for 8k with good rubber and a full rack of weights on the front. i usually pull a 5 shank dmi ripper with parabolic shanks and winged points in the fall for him. i got no complaints. you do need to occasionally clean under the cab to keep the trash away from the shift cables. also, the clutch has a trans brake, so if the tractor is moving you dont fully depress the clutch until the tractor stops, it will wear the trans brake out toot sweet. my opinion is its a good solid tractor, and cheap horsepower.

A 7060 does not have a comfortable cab. Not possible to even clean the two lower right windows from the inside unless you tie a rag to a broom handle.

A Deere from that era would have the best cab and more user friendly to operate, plus full power shift and front wheel drive were available. You get what you pay for.... Ben

Dad bought a 7060 powershift at an auction this fall. Decent looking and near new rubber paid 4500 for it. Read all the reviews to cab being too small. While it is small, I'm 6'2 and weigh 215 and I find it quite comfy. I like the controls and the powershift trans. And for the money you simply cannot beat it.

My neighbor bought a 7060 new in 1976 and still uses it for lighter work. He hasn’t had all that much trouble with it but he is very good at preventative maintenance. I have run it for him off and on through the years.

I have a 1086 I bought new in 1978 that now has 17000 hours on the clock. Can’t say it has been trouble free but it has served me well.

I also have owned a Deere 4650 for the past seven years.

The 7060 and 1086 or 1486 will do an OK job, you can get used to the cabs, but if I was you I would pony up and get a Deere. There is a good reason why Deeres bring more money. Oh, the 7060 has the most leg room, the 1086-1486 has the least.

Just a comment on the cab we had the 7000 series, I am 6'3" and 250, the cab was comfortable to me. Can only compare it to a 4640 JD and 1086 IH. Ours had powershift, I would take that over the 1086, the TA gave us problems, and the JD was 8 speed powershift, hated that transmition, if JD would rather have the quad range. I like the power our Allis had, never wanted for power with what we did with it.

7,500 dollars plus the 1130 on trade MIGHT get you a decent White 2-105 with MFWD as opposed to a high quality 2-105. I doubt you could touch a 2-135 or 2-155 and will not touch an AC 8000 series for the money you are talking. Fuel on the 8000 series I could not tell you about but I would not describe the White as a fuel sipper. You are either going to have to lower your expectations or raise the amount of cash to get what you want. Would an 80-85 PTO HP tractor work for your purposes?

the 1130 also has new ruber and a and cab I has a loader on it a nice one that has a quik attach from the tractor I would like to put on my next tractor so also what brand has best hyds I best front axel

The 1130 is probably worth 3-4,000 dollars without seeing a picture based on having new rubber and an engine that would be desirable for parts. With any luck your current loader would go on a MFWD tractor. Again, you could land an alright White 2-105 MFWD for 7,500 plus 3,000 from the old tractor. Good White 2-135 or 2-155 MFWD or 8000 series AC are in the high teens unless you are good friends with somebody looking to sell one of those.

High teens would be right for a good 2-135 or 2-155 MFWD. A good 2-105 MFWD with cab would be 11,500 or above. He can probably just touch a decent 2-105 for above 10,000. I've seen lots of worn 2-85 and 2-105 tractor sell at auction for 7,000-7,500 dollars.

Yeah, the Massey 1130 is going to be a tough turd to pass off to someone else... Doesn't matter how nice it is, it's really only worth what the tires cost. For cheap power you may as well keep it and run it until it dies, or put it up for sale somewhere like Craigslist and try to catch a Massey collector if it's that nice.

Loader probably won't fit another brand tractor without modifying the mounting brackets or buying a different set for the tractor you do get. If the loader is new enough.

Once you get past the mid 70's the manufacturers started beefing up the front ends in most brands so if you get one that wasn't a loader tractor before and is nice and tight, it will hold up fine.

I found the 8000 series cab to be a bit small. I told my BIL, who owned the one I operated that I didn't get into it, I put it on. I'm 6'5" and 250. Felt about as tight as the drivers compartment in a M1A1 tank!
