it was a nice well kept homestead,The auction did state the farm had a reserve,The auctioneer started at 250,went to 200,down to 175,,and couldt get a bid,,then said we will move on..The reserve must have been 175 000 .To me it seemed it was worth it,,it was a nice place, not far from rt 61,but on a nice secluded side road, and a well kept place.

$175,000 seems really reasonable to me - especially with the house being in good shape. It looks spacious too.

Always enjoy seeing what you were
up to! Looks like someone got a
deal on some old tractors. Nice
house,too. I guess a real estate
agent has to list it now?

I?ll second that Gina. I think in our neighborhoods that?s probably a $275-325K place.

Here things are very depressed, everything is for sale and stays on the market until it is given away at low price. Unless it has town water and sewer. I have a 3.5 acre lot with a well and engineered plan for septic on the market for a couple years, not even a nibble to talk about price.

ya, around here in North central Indiana the amish would have had that in the upper $300's to mid $400's and the auctioneer would have had an easy job getting there.

rumor is some amish just paid about $24000/acre south of me for an 80 acre farm. i presume that included the builds which are nice and could manage a larger/modern dairy.
