stupid battle-axes - steel is not copper

my son does home improvement , he called and needed to vent his frustration . he got 2 lu lus in the last few
weeks,. lukily he got paid from both of them ,..One Lady is upset that her Gold Steel industrial steel roof is
not turning green like the post office and the school ,.which is also green , that loox like oxidized copper ,.
Michael Had no idea she expected that result ,. she never expressed that when she chose her color .. He
explained to her that she should had communicated what color she wanted ,.She Thought that a copper colored roof
would turn green over time , ,. and that is why she called him over to ask him , when the metal was going to
change color ,.because it was the same as it was when he installed it back before the summer,.. Thats when it
dawned on Michael what she was thinking ,. He told her she bought steel not copper ,. and she still did not
understand,. stating that metal is metal it all changes and rusts or.. Then She Seemed to Finally understand ,
and GET IT .. AND NOW ,. it was my sons fault ! for not explaining .. Sheesh ,. and she is a school counselor ,..
Then the other gal was all whakt out over placement of a vent ,. Michael moved the vent over 2 feet ,the previous
roof was shingles , by moving the vent now all the vents were evnly spaced and fell in the same placement of the 3
ft sheets ,.,. this gal actually fears she could collapse and rupture the steel and fall thru the 1 ft hole !!!
,.. and she is a safety directer at a steel stampin plant ,.

How does that go again? Something about the most inefficient worker being shuffled through the system until they are in a position where they can do the least amount of damage, which is usually mid-management.

I find it interesting when someone who makes almost completely unintelligible posts calls someone else stupid. Do you know what a comma is and how to use it? I usually don't make comments about poorly worded posts, but you posting about someone being stupid while writing the way you do is just beyond belief.

You can't fix stupid. When I worked for the US Army Corps of Engineers, I worked several years beyond minimum retirement age. I figured that either my body or incompetent supervision would tell me it is time to go. One pivotal event led me to finally give it up.... we laid off all our maintenance workers and went with contractors. I had them pulling ditches and replacing culverts on a 2 mile dirt road. They did so, then when they made final pass with road grader, they laid dirt back into the ditches they had just cleaned. I reported to their quality control, supervisor, my supervisors and head manager. Nothing done. I soon exited after 25 years with the agency. YOU CAN'T FIX STUPID!

I have fat fingers, cows and 8000 chickens to feed, and a broken radius bone in my right wrist, yet I somehow manage to make readable posts.... who needs a sign? I don’t care how you write because I typically scroll past your almost unreadable posts anyway. I only clicked on this one because you titled it “stupid battle-axes” and I was curious on what level of hypocrisy you reached this time.

You remind me of a guy I used to work with.

Dealing with the general public is a very tough job. Assuming that everyone has the same levels of experience, knowledge, and patience is a big big mistake. That is the reason salesmen are well paid.

If your son is a little frustrated and is passing on a funny story, there is no need to get upset about it. Live and learn to explain to each customer that a copper colored roof is not actually real copper. If he is truly upset and does not like dealing with these type of issues, I would coach him that he should probably look for another line of work, or leave the sales side to someone else.

strives for perfection and excellence in everything , From My chair and experience , their personality can

Please Know ,I never took typing, and you Can Bet i was more interested in something other than proper
English in the freshman and sophomore English class .My spelling can be as good as anyone's . Instead i take
liberties with spelling because i can shorten words like the telegraph operator ,Kinda ,like invent'n my own
style , Like James Whitcomb Riley did ..
HOWEVER . I Will Agree that such shortcuts are detrimental to strict disciplined spelling habits and at
times, .I must admit , I really do find myself searching for the rite letter to correctly spell a word or a phrase
to GET IT RIGHT , because it is very important to impress that. " i aint sum dum hick from French Lick ,Indiana."
If you are like Mrs. Schlagater in the 8th grade you are probably annoyed by my style of riting ,..another thing.

could Check all the Misspells and give it a Grade and send it back ! ,,. I did that to my 1st wife,shortly after
we met and she gave me a nice note .I corrected her spelling , gave it a grade ,And , GAVE IT back!. Boy ,You

think you're thinking of the "Peter Principle", which says you tend to rise to your level of incompetence because if you're below that you do a good job and get promoted, once you get there you don't do a good job anymore so you don't go any higher. As I see it, the weakness of this theory is that it assumes companies award promotions for good work, and I've seen no evidence of that happening in this century. Not since the middle of the last one...

not everyone is an english major deal with it

I retired from two insurance claims companies and they rewarded for good work. The criteria for promotion and pay raises was definitively
spelled out and followed religiously. It had it's cons as well for they micromanaged to the hilt.

Let's at least write a readable sentence instead of appearing to be uneducated on the basics of writing in English. This is exhibit 2 in the dumbing down of the educational system in this country where many high school graduates can't read and write and do simple math. Yes, to me English is precious... use it properly or lose it as a people.
