Last evening a person I know in Humboldt SK posted a pic on Facebook showing a white backyard scene. We had just a few flakes 800 miles south of you in northwest Iowa.

4 " of the white stuff in the north western parts of Sask. Hopefully will melt today. I think the fall field work is done for the season though. Time to start thinking 'bout getting cows home from pasture.

Ranch, I hope it dries up for a little while longer over there. I have a friend by Spiritwood that still has a few acres of wheat to combine. Whereabouts are you from? I've hauled grain throughout most of Alberta and Saskatchewan the last 3 years.

Yes,maybe an inch and I posted a still shot of the 49 Merc in the thread "first snow" yesterday morning. It mostly melted except for shaded
areas. Up in the 40s today so there won't be much left. It can wait another month far as I'm concerned.

West of Meadow lake is home. Got some family in Spiritwood. Wet wet wet here
this year. Most crops that got planted are all combined. A lot of Unseeded acres
in this area this year.

Been up around Meadow Lake a couple of times, usually to load oats. We had a couple of wet years too out here around Barrhead, AB, but this fall has been a little more favorable for us than further east. All a guy can do is hope for better next year.

Just the opposite here. We have had our first dry year in at least a decade of mud and flooding. The reserve soil moisture from the past is all that saved our crop this year. There is no reserve moisture for next year's crop now so we will be totally dependent on what falls from the sky. The drought pattern shows no sign of changing though.
