I have a Western Snow PLow that I am going to mount on my tractor loader. It has an ISARMATIC MARK III A pump on the plow. I don't want or need the pump----does this particular older model have any value????? It is CABLE OPERATED.......

I have plowed snow since 1967 and have owned/used Western and Meyers plow units. My son uses a Hinniker plow. The last time I used a cable control Western was 1991. By now, most of them have faded back into the ground from which they came. As to your question of market value, somebody may still be using that unit on an old farm PU, or making it work on a tractor which does not have working hydraulics. It was the standard of the industry in the 60's 70's and maybe mid 80's. So they are a known and fairly reliable unit. They were easier to fix than the electrical solenoid controlled units we use today.

This is the season to sell at your best $$ price, so list it on C.L. and see what happens.

That brings back memories of cleaning the ice out of the small box on the side of the pump housing where the cable came in! Also the ole T handle control.
