I thought I was the only one that wore those railroad engineer striped pants. I have a pair of overalls with that kind of fabric.

no your not alone Grandpa bought me first pair when bout 6 yrs old because thats what he wore been wearing for 60 plus now.

Haven't seen a one of them this year. Usually see a few during the summer. Thought maybe cold and open winter was responsible.

My ex was a school teacher and every year they hatched out manitis and then turned them lose later at the house. I still have a large population of them around my house. They are fun to play with and scare the kids.

Down here we call them "Praying" Mantis as they look like they are. Interesting how they can adapt to their environment green or brown. Good bug eaters.....er ah bug eating bug???????? There is a garden hoeing tool brand of Mantis. 2 stroke weighs less than 20 lbs is a super tool, about $200 now mine is old and somewhat cheaper. If you have a garden a Mantis is a must.

Sheesh, that could be cause for an accident.

Several of you have posted pics of Praying Mantises recently... HOPE I don't see any!

Was out of state in a rental car, stopped to fuel up and saw big one on roof of car. Got it to climb on my hand and released into some trees nearby. Wasn't crazy bout my hand but took to the leaves right away.
