Back From the Auction.

I got up at 4am and got ready for my 200 mile drive. My wife and I left home at 5am and drove to the auction site. We spent about 6 hours at the auction but did not buy much. They did offer some interesting items including sever real old JD tractors that I thought went pretty cheap but maybe that is because the collector market is down.

I did buy a couple of 3 point hitch rototillers that are new. I have already sold them so I guess that I bought them right. Also bought a Ford 5000 that I will offer for sale after we get it checked out. I was high bidder on a few other things and I have enough for a big load so once again I will go trucking. I know that I am old enough to retire but where is the fun in that. Happy farming.

sounds like you enjoy "the chase" and "the deal" so why would you quit something you seem to enjoy so much. gobble

If it isn't work, I don't know how you can retire from it? Sounds like a good time.

Sounds like you have the "knack of being in the right place at the right time" like a friend of my Daddy's!! Daddy said this fellow could "fall face first into an outdoor s""t house and come up with a ham sandwich in one hand and a cold beer in the other"!! That's a lucky somebody! I've NEVER been able to buy and resell anything to make a good profit. Usually end up paying them to get it off of my hands!
