Had some time yesterday not far from home
so I got a chance to sit and talk with Jim,
a fellow YT'er. Had pie a d a roll at my
favorite truck stop in Clear Lake. We spent
several hours talking tractors, farming,
and other things. Was a great visit and I
hope we can do it again. Jim is quite
possibly the last YT'er to get a pic in
front of my truck. Thanks Jim!

Jon, when you turn in that truck where do you have to take it? Close to home or several states away? And if a long way how will you be getting back home? Don't think you have a vehical setting waiting for you to drop off the truck.

I'll turn it in at the home terminal in Eagan Mn which is on the south side of Minneapolis

You mean Clear Lake IA. I did not think the truck stop had more than a subway anymore, unless you went to the quik star. The kum and go at exit to the souh always has the cheapst diesel, thats where we fill our trucks at, but the quik star is pretty competitive most of the time. Many times the truck stop is 10 to 12 cents higher.

p.s. I farm 9 miles south of there a half mile off interstate.

Jon, I really enjoyed the visit as well- glad you called. BTW- I had nothing to do with that water spot on the pavement!

Better check that front tire. Looks a little low or is it an optical illusion. Enjoy having more home time. There is nothing like sleeping in your own bed even if you have such a good looking sleeper on the road.

Here is to all of you hard working Truckers out there. You bring us the goods in like the town I live in. There is no trains here and yes if it was not for you the truck driver we would not get our next shipment of goods. So keep up the good work.

does that mean you are going retire from trucking?
there semms to be a lot of that retirement stuff happening with the yters.
i talked to phil hiesey the cockshutt guy a few days ago he too has retired

Always kind of hoped we could work out a time to meet when you were near Coldwater, MI but never quite worked out. Best of luck with the new job.
