Driving and Droning

Took a little drive around the farm with the trike yesterday and had the drone follow along for some video. Things sure look different from 90 feet up.

roughly how much does one of them drones cost? how good is the camera? i was thinking for checking out roofs and such, it may be way better than climbing up on a ladder. i would like to take a look at the coupola on my crib roof, but its way too high fer me to get up there.

What model drone did you say you have? I have been interested in getting one for awhile and am trying to see which ones people seem to like using.

Thanks,

Everybody seems to buy the DJI Phantom but I had to be different and bought an Autel Xstar Premium. It is advertised as a "phantom clone" and it is very similar to my nephew's phantom drone too. I think they are around the $1000 (CDN) mark now including a case and a few accessories. I had to buy a tablet to use as a viewer but my nephew uses his smart phone. I have to admit the phone makes a lot less weight to carry around on the remote controller than my ten inch tablet. I do like the bigger screen though.

(quoted from post at 17:05:41 10/02/17) Thanks , very interesting. How deep is that big slough ? And have you ever seen it dry ?
Hard to believe but my dad planted oats in that slough in the drought of 1961. I was going to say I've never seen it dry but found this pic from 2001 showing it was dry.
