That's a horrible thing. I just found out about it too. Scary that there are people out there who think this is a good idea, and too bad that they don't get the help they need.

JMOR, my thoughts exactly. I'm just grateful how the November election turned out, if you know what I mean, or we'd have confiscation taking place before nightfall.
 
Horrible tragedy. Probably as many fully automatic weapons in that town as a military base. Just have to know the right mobster.
 

The videos sounded like it was a FULL AUTO gun fire. So unless he had a special license, it was ALREADY an illegal weapon. I bet the press will NOT mention that.

there will be more push for the anti 2a's.. To Tighten Gun control..... Here in NY its a pretty process and many firearms not accessible here. mainly because we have a 10 round limit which by the way I HATE the term HIGH capacity..no such thing....they are standard capacity as the gun was designed for say 17 rounds or what not..... but how im drifting off topic on my own rant.

Persistent rumour that the shooter was a recent convert to a certain religion that can not be named as it could offend some persons.
There was also a terrorist attack in Edmonton Canada via an asilum seeker . Ran over a cop, stabbed the officer then drove over another four victims.

Yup, I tried making a post earlier regarding the FOX article that mentioned this, but couldn't figure out what word(s) were hanging in the YT sensor database, so I finally up.
 
A certain mid-east based terrorist organization has now claimed responsibility, though this has not been confirmed.

What we do know is that "authorities" nearly immediately stated that this was not a terrorist issue, far before anyone could possibly know.

Well if it is a belt feed machine gun AND it was legal that means he went through the ATF vetting not to mention spent at least $20,000 on just the gun. I don't know what to think.
 
Either that or some other individual or organization procured it for him....

It can be done but it doesn't do you much good. Few people are trained and have the ability to shoot a true assault rifle with any accuracy - for most its a spray and pray weapon that eventually sends most of its rounds off over the horizon. The recording sounds like an older slower firing machine gun.
 
I double check and Im mistakened. Fully auto is legal in Nevada if you are approved and pay the 200 tax stamp. I thought they were illegal in all 50 but im wrong. sorry for that.

How does someone get 10 rifles plus ammo up 32 floors without drawing anyone's attention? I'd like to see the hotel videos of this guy from the lobby up to the 32nd floor.
 
Even with spray and pray he was doing pretty good, according to the news it was 400 yards. Interview with one police said they did not know if he bought the full auto guns or did an illegal conversion himself. I heard the shooting in some of the videos, sounded a little fast for a belt fed gun. Shooter was in his 60s, and had a few million dollars.
 
A lot of you guys are asking about video cameras. I work in the Atlantic city casinos and I can assure you those places are crawling with surveillance cameras. Some people in security on those cameras really "FFFFFED" up. He would have had to make at least a dozen trips to his vehicle and back to his room many Many times. I work around all of this stuff everyday I go to work. Again....security should have caught this hands down no question. S is going to hit the fan somewhere. Let us hope it is not some kind of a plot but I know that even staff people and baggage porters will report if something looks a little funny. Something is just not right.
 
Thank you jeffcat, someone coulda shoulda noticed something unusual. When I go to Vegas I take a couple of extra Saturday night shorts nothing close to arsenal luggage.
 
The anti gun crowd probably gets these guys to do this to farther their agenda.

Shooting into a crowd like that; you wouldn't even have to aim. Be like shooting fish in a barrel.

There are exceptions to owning full auto hand guns or rifles.Not too difficult to convert a semi auto AR 15 to full auto.
 
On the new ones there is not enough room for the sear without extensive machining. Old a file could do it. You Tube.
