First load of firewood in my new wood hauler

As most of you know, I have been using my little wood trailer to bring home my firewood, and have been stacking the wood above the racks. Quit time consuming.
Today I decided to take my new trailer that I built last winter, to the woods and load it. I had a lot of big heavy blocks at this landing that I chose not to try lifting, so the jib pole on the splitter got a real workout today also.
It took me an hour less to fill the big trailer, as the wood just tumbled off the elevator with minimal rearranging, and I had lots of smaller rounds that didn't require splitting and I tossed them directly on the trailer to round out the top of the load.
I won't know how this load compares to the 1.4 cord loads that I stack on the smaller trailer, until I unload and stack it. I have yet to repair the 4x36" lift cylinder, so the hour that I gained in loading it will likely be offset when unloading and stacking it.

I am jealous. It is too hot to cut wood here at nearly 90 degrees every day.
Have been working on my new wood wagon in the shop.

That looks like a lot more labor-friendly than the stacking and lashing down you had to do on the little trailer. I'll be interested to hear how the two loads "stack up" (pun intended) against each other.

Have never understood why folks say "no pun intended"- I want full credit for every pun I laboriously happen upon.

Looking good, but a thought came to mind- how about adding a "folding bin extension" like combines have, lol! Next you need some ear corn cribs and a long elevator with a drag...

Fabulous fabrication work as usual!! When I cut wood, I used a '56 Ford bed trailer and my Grandaddy's 9N. It only held about a 1/2 cord. I also cut 90% on the farm, rarely got on black top. How far do you go to get your wood?

That wagon looks good loaded up. I especially like the way the tag reads on that elevator. Custom but factory looking,I'm guess we12h is wood elevator 12' high?
