I have an old J.I. Case Industrial Tractor, Model 480D that is part of an estate and needs to be sold. It had a Product ID #9071006 and has 1,999 miles on it. There is a loader on the front and a scraper on the back. There is no cab enclosure. It is in rough condition, but I'm told the engine is good. It runs. The rear hydraulics need work as do the brakes. According to the research I've done, it looks like it was built between 1980-1990. Any ideas out there would be much appreciated! I just need a ballpark idea of what might be a good place to start with price.

First you have to figure out what you have. You say a Case Industrial but then you say almost 2,000 mile. An industrial tractor would not read miles nor any farm tractor. Could what you are seeing be hours at they read in hours of engine running time but no miles. Your product ID number sounds like a serial number not a product number as that also was not used. Buyers would want hours and serial number.

Thank you for your response. Of course, that 1999 number must be HOURS and not Miles. The product ID number came off a small silver plate that identified the Model Number as well as that number. I could not find a Serial Number anywhere on the machine.

Your Welcome.
FYI
That is the serial number.
Case call's it Product ID#
